How to use

  • Suitable for washing delicates including wool, linen, silk and nylon.  
  • Brush off any solid stains and pre-treat any hard staing with an extra squirt straight onto the soiled fabric. 
  • Add 4 pumps (14mls) to the drawer of your washing machine.
  • Pick your temp wisely. Most wools are best washed at 40 degress. Most silks are best washed cold. If in doubt, follow the garments care instructions.

Wool, silk and fine knits don't need the same heavy lifting as a load of towels. Harsh detergents strip natural fibres and leave them rough, stretched or pilled. This formula cleans carefully, so your favourite pieces keep their softness, their shape and their colour wash after wash.

Looking after delicates properly is how they last for years instead of seasons. A good jumper cared for well will outlive a dozen cheaper ones, and that's the most sustainable wardrobe there is. Wash less often, wash gently, and dry flat to keep everything in shape.

How many pumps of Wool and Delicate Wash do I need per load?

For a full load of delicates, we recommend 4 pumps or 14ml. However, this is a baseline, not a strict rule.

You'll probably find yourself with a half load or less of delicate fabrics, so you may not need the full amount. For example if you’re washing less items than you can count on one hand, I would have the dosage to 7ml or 2 pumps. 

The easiest way to get your estimations right is to look at the bubbles. You want a light layer of suds, just a few centimetres. Any more than that and you are using too much.

What if I break my Wool and Delicate Wash Dispenser Bottle?

Our bottles are made from glass with BPA-free silicone for breakage protection and grip. Designed to last a lifetime, we know that sometimes, accidents happen. If your bottle breaks, you can simply replace it with an empty bottle (doesn't come with a pump) or choose this pre-loaded one.
Is there anything I can't use Wool and Delicate Wash on?

Theoretically, you can wash most things with our Wool and Delicate Wash, it has been designed with enzymes that are safe on silk, wool suede and cashmere.

However the manufacturing process of some clothes can throw a curveball, so if you're washing really precious things for the first time, our advice would be to start with a hand-wash and a low dose of detergent.

Fill a sink or tub with cool water, and add one pump of detergent. If there are any specific marks you're trying to get rid of, rub a little extra detergent directly onto the stained part with your fingers. Leave the garment in a sink of cool water to soak for 30 minutes before rinsing off and lying flat to dry.

This is a safe way to wash almost anything.

Please note; if your garment says dry clean only, it might mean that it's not safe to use water on the fabric, so it's best just to take these garments straight to the dry cleaner. If you do attempt to clean it at home, just spot test for water marking issues prior to attempting any washing.
