Wash Smarter, Not Harder

When it comes to our Stain Removers, it’s not a one-size-fits-all situation. Why?

There are three categories of stain removal ingredients: bleach, enzymes and surfactants. While they play nicely in a powder format (like our Powder Booster), if you put them in a more convenient liquid formula they turn on each other making them completely ineffective.

It seems complicated because it is complicated, which is why we've decided to take the work out of it.

Download our stain guide below, or browse through the stains at the bottom of the page to find the best way to attack common household stains.

Want to know more? Here is what each of the three primary ingredients do.

Natural Bleach:

Oxygen bleach is an oxidising agent that is the ingredient that helps with the removal of stains.
It is safe to use on all washable, dye-stable fabrics. Just like other oxygen-based bleaches, hydrogen peroxide breaks down safely into water and oxygen and is one of the most environmentally friendly stain removal ingredients available.

Organic Enzymes:
Enzymes are responsible for breaking biological matter down. Sourced sustainably, our enzymes are extremely high performing, and when used as instructed will wash out completely in the washing cycle, so no skin irritation should occur on their behalf.

Plant-based Anionic & Nonionic Surfactants:
Surfactants help to remove the daily grime from your clothes by surrounding the soil particles, effectively lifting it from your clothes. Our surfactants are naturally derived, and safe for you and the environment.

FAQ's

How do I use each of the Stain Remover Products?

Our 3 types of stain removal products are:

The Food and Drink Spot Stain Treater comes with a complete set - a full Dispenser Spray Bottle, full Carry On Spray and a Refill Pack. This Spot Treater works specifically well on dye-based stains such as berries, wine, coffee and ink. Target the stain directly and leave for 5 minutes or up to 30 minutes (no longer) before popping it in the wash or blot with water to remove any residue.

The Oil, Body and Grease Pre-Treater Stain Remover includes a full Dispenser Spray Bottle and a Refill Pack. This Pre-Treater targets and attacks oil and protein based stains such as makeup, sweat, blood and oil. To use, simply spray directly onto the stain, agitate and leave it for 15 minutes before washing it to allow time for the stain remover to work.

The Powder Booster comes in handy when you have stained or greying products. You can use this as a pre-wash treater, a soaker, or a paste. It is an all-encompassing stain solution, consisting of enzymes, surfactants and oxygen bleach.

You can purchase all of these Stain Removal Products together in our Stain Remover Bundle.

How do I get a printed stain guide?

A printed stain guide comes free with every purchase of our new Oil, Body and Grease Stain Remover.

What’s the difference between the Oil, Body and Grease Pre-Treater Stain Remover and the Food and Drink Spot Stain Treater?

The Oil, Body and Grease Pre-Treater Stain Remover contains four organic enzymes. Organic enzymes are used to catalyse the reaction between stains and the water solution which is why it works best at targeting and breaking down oil and protein based stains from mayonnaise to bodily fluids. To use, simply spray directly onto the stain, agitate and leave it for 15 minutes before washing it with the Advanced Wash Laundry Detergent to allow time for the stain remover to work.

The Food and Drink Spot Stain Treater works best on food, drink and dye based stains as it contains oxygen bleach that releases oxygen when exposed to water. This is what helps the spot treater work on stains such as coffee, wine and berries within a span of 30 minutes.

Have you changed the name of your old Stain Remover

Yes - kind of.

Our first Spot Stain Treater was always targeted at food and drink stains, it was just called "Spot Stain Treater - for Food & Drink stains at home or on-the-go".

We have just changed the hierarchy of the name.

It is now called: "Food & Drink Stain Remover". It is still the same product you love, and still a Spot Stain Treater for at home and on-the-go.

By giving it a name that points to the stains it targets, we think we've managed to imperfectly clarify the role of each of the different Stain Removers.
