FAQs

What’s the difference between the Oil, Body & Grease Stain Remover and the Food & Drink Stain Remover?

Our Oil, Body and Grease Stain Remover uses a blend of four organic enzymes to break down protein and oil-based stains. It works best on anything bodily, like blood, sweat and milk, or anything oily, like butter, makeup and mayonnaise.

Our Food and Drink Stain Remover uses oxygen bleach to lift the colour out of dye-based stains, like coffee, red wine and berries.

We make them separately because oxygen bleach and enzymes can’t be combined in a liquid format: the bleach destroys the enzymes.

If you're unsure what to use, check out our Stain Guide.

Does the Stain Remover bottle come full?

Yes, the bottle comes full with 475ml of Stain Remover.

Can I use the Oil, Body and Grease Stain Remover Pre-Treater on any fabric?

You can use it on most fabrics, but not on wool, silk, leather or hand dyed fabrics.

If in doubt, patch test first: spray a small amount on a hidden area of the fabric, wait 15 minutes, rinse it off thoroughly, and check for any changes.

What happens if I leave the Pre-Treater Stain Remover on for more than 15 minutes?

On most fabrics, nothing. 15 minutes is a safe guideline: long enough for the stain remover to work, while keeping your fabric protected.

Just make sure not to leave it on for more than one hour before washing.

Can I use this for pet stains?

Yes, you can. Just keep in mind that pets can be sensitive to essential oils, so spray it directly onto the stain rather than into the air. Then wash or blot it off with water.
