How to use

  • Suitable for washing delicates including wool, linen, silk  and nylon.  
  • Brush off any solid stains and pre-treat any hard staing with an extra squirt straight onto the soiled fabric. 
  • Add 4 pumps (14mls) to the drawer of your washing machine.
  • Pick your temp wisely. Most wools are best washed at 40 degress. Most silks are best washed cold. If in doubt, follow the garment care instructions.

Wool, silk and fine knits don't need the same heavy lifting as a load of towels. Harsh detergents strip natural fibres and leave them rough, stretched or pilled. This formula cleans carefully, so your favourite pieces keep their softness, their shape and their colour wash after wash.

Looking after delicates properly is how they last for years instead of seasons. A good jumper cared for well will outlive a dozen cheaper ones, and that's the most sustainable wardrobe there is. Wash less often, wash gently, and dry flat to keep everything in shape.

Is the Wool and Delicate Wash Refill Pack the right product for me?

If you are already a Dirt regular and need to top up your empty Dispenser Bottle with our gentlest formula, this Refill Bundle is for you. It's specifically crafted to safely clean your fragile silks, wools, and cashmeres.

If you’re looking for a more versatile laundry liquid, our Original Laundry Detergent Refill Bundle might be the product for you. It was created for all your general laundry needs, with pure yet powerful performance but a more subtle scent than our Advanced Wash, for sensitive noses.

If you’re looking for something with a little extra punch, our Advanced Wash Refill Bundle might be the product for you. It is designed for ultimate odour control, with the addition of an antimicrobial agent and a stronger scent.

Can I buy Wool and Delicate Wash in bulk?

At this time, our Wool and Delicate Wash is not available in a bulk size.

Do Wool and Delicate Wash Refills go through the Refill Return program?

They absolutely do! Just like all of our refill pouches, the Wool and Delicate packs are fully integrated into our circular Refill Return program.

Can I use Wool and Delicate Wash in auto-dosing machines?

Yes, you definitely can! 

However, remember Wool and Delicate detergent was designed for delicate fabrics like wool, silk, and cashmere. Because of this it has less enzymes and a slightly reduced cleaning power when it comes to general laundry. For your autodoser you might be better off choosing either our Original Laundry Detergent and our Advanced Wash. 

If you are going to use Wool and Delicate Wash in your auto-doser, depending on your machine, you may need to dilute it 1:1 with water first. This is so that your machine doesn't use too much detergent.

As a general rule we recommend 14ml (4 pumps) of our Wool and Delicate wash for an average (8kg) load of laundry.

Is there anything I can't use the Wool and Delicate Wash Refill Bundle for?

Theoretically, you can wash most things with our Wool and Delicate Wash, this is because it has been designed with enzymes that are safe on silk, wool suede and cashmere.

However the manufacturing process of some clothes can throw a curveball, so if you're washing really precious things for the first time, our advice would be to start with a hand-wash and a low dose of detergent.

Fill a sink or tub with cool water, and add one pump of detergent. If there are any specific marks you're trying to get rid of, rub a little extra detergent directly onto the stained part with your fingers. Leave the garment in a sink of cool water to soak for 30 minutes before rinsing off and lying flat to dry.

This is a safe way to wash almost anything.

Please note; if your garment says dry clean only, it might mean that it's not safe to use water on the fabric, so it's best just to take these garments straight to the dry cleaner. If you do attempt to clean it at home, just spot test for water marking issues prior to attempting any washing.
