FAQs

Does the Food and Drink Stain Remover Spray Dispenser Bottle come full?

Yes, our Food and Drink - Stain Remover Spray Dispenser Bottle comes full with 475ml of Food and Drink Spot Stain Treater.

What if I break my Food and Drink Stain Remover Spray Dispenser Bottle?

Our Food and Drink Stain Remover Spray Dispenser Bottles are made from glass with BPA-free silicone for breakage protection and grip. Designed to last a lifetime, we know that sometimes, accidents happen. If your bottle breaks, you can simply replace it with an empty bottle (doesn't come with a pump) or choose this pre-loaded one.

Can I use Food and Drink Stain Remover on all fabrics?

Food and Drink Spot Stain Treater cannot be used on fabrics that say "do not bleach".

The labels generally exist on delicate fabrics; like wools and silks, and fabrics that have not been through a thorough 'dye setting' process.

If in doubt, we would recommend you patch test, by spraying a small amount of the stain solution onto an inconspicuous part of the fabric, and wait 30 minutes to check that everything is okay first.

Is the Food and Drink Stain Remover Dispenser Bottle the right product for me?

Our Food and Drink Stain Remover Dispenser Bottle is the perfect product if you’re regularly dealing with dye based food and drink stains at home.

Haven’t tried our stain remover yet? You might be better with our Food and Drink Stain Remover Starter Pack. This way you get one of our refillable glass Dispenser Bottles, that you can refill with our Refill Bundle later on.

What happens if I leave the Spot Stain Treater on for more than 30 minutes or leave it in the sun?

On many fabrics, nothing will happen.

But on others, where the dye wasn’t properly set or where a lot of optical brighteners were used in manufacturing, the stain remover can start working past the stain and into the dye itself. Because the formula contains oxygen bleach, leaving it on too long can also lead to over-oxidation. When that happens, the fibres can start to shift towards a yellow tint.

Thirty minutes is a conservative window that keeps your fabric safe while giving the formula time to do its job. Think of it as a good general rule.

After that, blot the fabric with water to lift the solution, or pop it straight into the wash.

Remember sunlight is brilliant for lifting stubborn marks, but not when you’ve used this stain remover solution.

Because it contains oxygen bleach, the formula works by opening up the fibres and oxidising the stains. That is exactly what you want. But if you then put those open fibres in harsh UV, the sun can accelerate that oxidation past the good point. Push it too far and you risk fibre damage and a yellow cast.
