Absolutely, yes. All our refills are collected for reuse, including our Powder Booster Refill.

At the moment, we don’t have second life refills of our Powder Booster available.

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working hard, figuring out how to process our Second Life Powder Booster Refills. But it’s proving trickier than we anticipated.

To open a sealed refill pack, the top has to be cut off. But once cut, there isn’t enough excess material at the top of the bag to securely heat-seal it again so that it remains airtight. To fix this we’ve experimented with a lot of things including moving the cut lines higher to create bigger margins, but nothing has felt like a true long-term solution.

Even if we could get one round of Second-Life Refills out of our packs, the packs would keep shrinking each use, which wouldn’t give us the refill longevity we’re after. We want them to match the lifespan of things like our Original Laundry Detergent packs, which are now getting 8 or more lives out of a single refill!

Don’t worry, we’re still working hard to figure out how to reuse our Booster Refill packs. But in the meantime, excess refill packs are being turned into our 100% Recycled Scoops.

So keep sending us in your Powder Booster Refills. They’re still in our closed loop system, just in a slightly different form.

Our Powder Booster is a multi-tasking hero that can be used three ways.

If you're time poor, add 2 - 4 scoops to your pre-wash (typically the dispenser drawer marked 1 or I) to lift stains, brighten whites and remove odours. 

For really tough stains - make a pre-treatment paste by adding a scoop of booster and mixing it with water (1:3 ratio). Mix to form a paste, pop onto your stain, leave on for up to 15 mins on colours, or 2 hours on whites, then wash as usual.

To remove large format, hard set stains or brighten whites - add 2 scoops to a sink of water (at the highest temperature as per garment care instructions), leave 30 mins on colours, or 2+ hours on whites, then wash as usual.

Make sure you soak similar colours together to avoid any dye mishaps.

A quick note: To get the most accurate dose, we recommend using our 100% Recycled Scoop. It holds exactly 15ml, is cleverly crafted from our own repurposed refill packs, and comes included in the Powder Booster Starter Pack (or can be purchased separately here)

While we can’t speak on behalf of individual irritations, we generally get great feedback from people with sensitive skin. This is because common skin irritants such as:

Synthetic dye,

Synthetic fragrances (all our fragrances are 100% natural or nature identical. You can read more about our scents here), or

Optical brighteners.

Plus, because this booster goes to work before your main washing cycle even begins, your machine is able to thoroughly rinse it away. As long as it is used as directed, there will be zero powder residue left on your freshly washed garments.

Furthermore, we scent the powder exclusively with 100% pure essential oils. This ensures your clothes won't hold onto any harsh, synthetic fragrances that can often trigger skin sensitivities.
