How to use

Detergent

  • Suitable for washing most fabrics.
  • Pretreat any heavy duty stains with an extra squirt of detergent straight onto soiled fabric and agitate slightly.
  • For front loaders add 5 pumps (17.5 ml) to the drawer of your washing machine.
  • For top loaders add 6 pumps (21 ml) to the base of your machine before you put your clothes in.
  • 40 degrees is optimal for performance, however Dirt will work at colder temperatures with only a mild performance difference.

Incense

  • Place incense stick in holder and ignite the tip.
  • Burn for 5 seconds and then blow out the flame, allowing the stick to smoulder and fragrance the air.
  • To extinguish dip stick in water or press top against hard heat resistant surface.
  • Never leave burning sticks unattended and near flammable materials. Keep away from children and pets. Use in a well ventilated area.

The detergent features Gentle Habits' Byron Bay scent; with earthy cedarwood, cardamom, white cypress and patchouli, with notes of fresh citrus.

It smells like a sultry summer night; when you've spend the day in the ocean warmed by the sun, and have rinsed off under a refreshing outdoor shower.

The incense features our Advanced Wash scent; it's a clean, green scent, that reminds us of an untamed wildflower field in bloom.

It features a fresh blend of fig tree leaves, bergamot, amber and lemon, combined with hints of galbanum.

Does the bottle come full?

Yes, it comes full and ready to use with 27 loads of detergent.

How long does each incense stick burn for?

Each stick burns for approximately 30 minutes.

Are the Gentle Habits refill packs part of your Refill Return program?

Absolutely, yes. While we won't be selling second life refills of the limited edition scent, we'll still gladly accept your empties.

What makes the Advanced Wash formula good at removing odours?

It contains an antimicrobial agent which breaks down malodours and prevents growth – perfect for activewear, workwear and darker clothes that typically foster faster bacteria growth and hold onto smells more than other garments.
Is Gentle Habit's Byron Bay scent natural?

This scent contains a phthalate-free parfum combined with essential oils, so it is not 100% natural.

Will the detergent work in hot and cold water?

Absolutely! Warmer water actually helps most detergents (including ours) perform better by opening up the fibres in the fabric.

At 20°C, you'll have a reduced performance by an average of 15% (it varies depending on the depth of the stain). As we’re a super high performing detergent, especially when it comes to stain removal, we recommend you wash lighter soiled loads in cold water and spot treat isolated stains. For anything that’s smellier or sweatier with general grime, we recommend upping the temperature to 40°C.
Is the detergent meant to be purple?

Yes, over time the detergent will go a deeper purple. This is due to UV exposure to the natural oils in the scent. It will not affect the product performance in any way.
