Makeup stains, whether old or new, don’t have to stick around forever. You just have to know how to treat them. Here are three surefire ways to get makeup out of clothes, on-the-go or at home.
Removing Fresh Makeup Stains At Home
Makeup and your favourite white tee can be the combination from hell. No matter what method you try, getting that shirt on without letting it touch your freshly done makeup seems almost impossible. If your foundation and your white tee have just made contact, it’s time to act fast.
Step 1: Grab an enzymatic laundry liquid, like our Advanced Wash, and apply one pump to the stained area.
Step 2: Use a soft brush to agitate the stain while the surfactants and enzymes do their job breaking down the stain molecules.
Step 3: Rinse off the laundry liquid.
Step 4: Grab our Food and Drink Stain Remover and spray the stained area. Agitate and leave for about 15 to 30 minutes.
Step 5: Wash the item with an enzymatic laundry liquid, ideally at 40 degrees (or the warmest temperature it can handle).
Step 6: Check to make sure the stain is completely gone before putting your clothes on the line or in the dryer.

Removing Fresh Makeup Stains On-The-Go
If you're at work, just noticed makeup on your top, and have an hour until an important meeting, this stain removal guide is for you. Here's our quick how-to for removing makeup stains on the go.
Note this method is for stain emergencies only.
Step 1: Dab the area lightly with a wet paper towel.
Step 2: Apply a tiny bit of soap and agitate.
Step 3: Rinse off the soap.
Step 4: Grab our Food and Drink Stain Remover Carry On (which of course you keep in your handbag at all times) and spray the stained area. Agitate and leave for around 15 minutes.
Step 5: Rinse off the Food and Drink Stain Remover thoroughly.
Step 6: Check to make sure the stain is completely gone before you get to work drying it under the hand dryer.

Removing Set-In Makeup Stains
At the end of a long day, sometimes the collar of our favourite white shirt can look a little worse for wear. To stop it from slowly yellowing over time and eventually ending up in the donation pile, a little bit of TLC is necessary.
Step 1: Grab an enzymatic laundry liquid, like our Advanced Wash. Apply one pump to the stained area.
Step 2: Grab a soft brush and agitate the stain whilst both the surfactant and the enzymes do their job in breaking down the stain molecules.
Step 3: Rinse off the laundry liquid.
Step 4: Repeat this process.
Step 5: Create a stain removal paste using one part Powder Booster and one part water. Apply to the stained area using an old tooth brush and working the paste into the stain as you go.
Step 6: Leave for 15 minutes.
Step 7: Wash ideally at 40 degrees (or the closest temperature your item can handle) with an enzymatic laundry liquid.
Step 8: Check to make sure the stain is completely gone before you put your clothes on the line or in the dryer.
