How to use

Carry as a backpack or a tote. Scrunch or fold to pack for travel. Turn inside out to dry between uses. Wash on a 30 degree cycle with any of our detergents.

FAQs

How much washing will it fit?

The Dirt-ie Bag can carry a ‘standard’ load of washing, which is about 8 kg of clothing.
It will also fit a doona and pillow; a wetsuit, towel, bathers and hat; a full wet hiking gear kit; a long weekend of dirty clothes, and probably lots of combinations we’re yet to try.
How much does the product weigh?

The bag weighs 87g.

Can I use this for travel?

Absolutely. Tried, tested and beyond useful on trips away from home.

How waterproof is it?

The fabric waterproof rating is 7000mm. If that means nothing to you, think raincoat level protection, but without taped seams.

This means it'll stop your clothes leaking their damp selves into your bag, or carry a wet towel home from the beach - but you cannot use it as a sack to carry 10L of water.

Is the material certified?

We are aware that the industry of recycling is a little greenwashy, which is why we never claim recycled content we haven’t been able to validate.

The product is certified by Global Recycling Standard (GRS) as made from 100% recycled content.

Where is your product made?

While all our laundry products are made in Australia, there are some things that aren't feasible to make here unfortunately.

This product is manufactured in Hong Kong, by the same partners that make our Recycled Peg Bags. They are fantastic seams-people who we have been working with for over 5 years.

Will you be making more Dirt-ie bags

Truthfully, time will tell.

We were really lucky to find this fabric, and have only manufactured what we were able to from the roll. We don't want to create waste, so we're being careful to produce the bag in smaller batches, so we know you love what we're making.
