If you were to write an Australian history book on 2020 so far, it'd probably need more pages than the decade prior.

Climate change, health and biological safety, and racism are all at the forefront of our minds. We're learning, growing, and hopefully changing.

But if it's taught us anything, it's that by the time a big problem is at the centre of your attention, it's probably too big to control easily.

The plastic problem is a big one.

The ocean covers 70% of the earth.

As much as 40% of the oceans are already affected by plastic.

Around 90% of large sea life is gone.

It's really very scary.

We need to turn the situation around, and we need to do it now.

Your laundry is one place you can start. All you need to do, is switch your throwaway laundry bottle, for a dispenser bottle that you love, and know you will continue to refill time and time again.

You can do the same thing with your oil, your salt and pepper, your multipurpose cleaning spray - whatever you want!

Please, this plastic free July just make a few simple switches. Collectively they'll make a BIG BIG impact.
